The Incidence of Mosaicism for Individual Chromosome in Human Blastocysts Is Correlated With Chromosome Length

چکیده
Mosaicism, known as partial aneuploidies, mostly originates from mitotic errors during the post-zygotic stage; it consists of different cell lineages within a human embryo. The incidence mosaicism has not been shown to correlate with maternal age, and its correlation individual chromosome characteristics well investigated. In this study, results preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A) derived 4,036 blastocysts (930 IVF couples) were collected 2015 2017. Via next-generation sequencing comprehensive screening, embryo ploidy was identified aneuploid, mosaic, euploid. Total classified into two categories: “mosaic euploid/aneuploidy” (with mosaic between 20 80%) aneuploidy” (a uniformly abnormal superimposed aneuploidies). Frequency analyzed according function chromosomal lengths, which divides involved chromosomes three groups: group A (156–249 Mb), B (102–145 C (51–90 Mb). show that more frequent in than (A: 23.7%, B: 35.1, 41.2%, p < 0.0001), while [(Mosaic euploid/aneuploid) A: 14.6%, 12.4%, C: 9.9%, 0.0001; (mosaic aneuploid) 21.3%, 22.9%, 18.9%, (Total mosaicism) 35.9%, 35.3%, 28.8%, 0.0001]. significantly higher frequency on shorter (< 90 longer (> 100 length association did reach significance patients advanced age (≥ 36 years), chromosome-specific rate, highest prevalence 14 (5.8%), 1 (5.7%), 9 (5.6%). Although observed via comparison, there may be affecting mechanisms other length. Eventually, twenty cryotransfers resulted six live births. No significant transfer outcomes length; however, analysis limited by small sample size.

Chromosome mosaicism in a hermaphrodite.
The chromosome complement in 27 patients with convincing evidence of hermaphroditism has now been investigated. A normal female karyotype (44 autosomes + XX) was reported in I7 cases (Bregman, Bregman, Cushner, and Woods, I963; de Assis, Epps, and Bottura, I960; Dewhurst, Warrack, and Casey, I963; German, Bearn, and McGovern, I962; Gordon, O'Gorman, Dewhurst, and Blank, I960; Harnden and Armstr...
متن کاملFemale chromosome X mosaicism is age-related and preferentially affects the inactivated X chromosome
To investigate large structural clonal mosaicism of chromosome X, we analysed the SNP microarray intensity data of 38,303 women from cancer genome-wide association studies (20,878 cases and 17,425 controls) and detected 124 mosaic X events >2 Mb in 97 (0.25%) women. Here we show rates for X-chromosome mosaicism are four times higher than mean autosomal rates; X mosaic events more often include ...
متن کاملI-49: Human Y Chromosome ProteomeProject
The success of the Human Genome Project (HGP) has provided a blueprint for the approximately 20,000 gene-encoded proteins potentially active in all of the hundreds of cell types that make up the human body. Yet we still have limited knowledge about a majority of the gene-encoded proteins which are the “building blocks of life” and “cellular machinery”. It is estimated that for nearly half of th...

Ring chromosomes in man, in association with congenital abnormalities, have been reported involving a chromosome in the I7-I8 group (Genest, Leclerc, and Auger, I963; Gropp, Jussen, and Ofteringer, I964; Lucas, Kemp, Ellis, and Marshall, I963; Wang, Melnyk, McDonald, Uchida, Carr, and Goldberg, I962), a chromosome in the X-6-I2 group which is probably not an X (Turner, I963), a member of the I3...
متن کاملMosaicism in the inner cell mass of human blastocysts.
Although mosaicism was shown to be a normal feature in cleaving embryos, its consequences for the late preimplantation stages are unknown. We performed blastocyst immunosurgery, followed by fluorescent in-situ hybridization (FISH), to determine the number of cells and degree of mosaicism in the inner cell mass (ICM) of human blastocysts. Of 47 ICM samples analysed, 20 had aneuploid cells, and t...
